Description
CarboPower consists of 81% higher polysaccharides, which are extremely energy-rich and can be stored particularly well in the muscular system.
Because of its high energy value, CarboPower should only be administered 2 days before the race, together with C-M-K.
Pigeons mainly have red muscle fibres. These have a small diameter and are very rich in myoglobin (red muscle pigment) and even richer in mitochondria, in which the aerobic energy production takes place (energy production in the presence of oxygen).
The red muscle fibres have excellent blood flow, the utilisation of the energy supplied is very favourable compared to the work performed, and the recovery phase after strenuous exercise is shorter than in a living being with mainly white muscle fibres.
Muscular system and training performance and oxygen demand
Intensive training already before the start of the season can achieve faster and more efficient energy production in the muscle fibres. Pigeons should therefore be brought into good condition early on.
A pigeon in very good condition has an increased metabolism and can therefore better supply its muscles with energy. A well-trained musculature has a higher efficiency and thus makes better use of energy reserves.
At rest, a pigeon already consumes about 5 times more oxygen than a human. In flight, the metabolism is accelerated another 10 times. This makes it clear how important it is for the pigeon's performance capacity that the fatty acids (energy carriers) and oxygen in the blood are transported to the muscle cells as quickly as possible. The faster this process occurs, the more energy the pigeon can burn per unit of time and convert into flight performance.
